Now going on its fifth year, the posts John Titor left behind on the Internet have drawn the attention of the mainstream media.

The April issue of Hustler Magazine, which is available this February, features an in-depth article about the John Titor phenomena. You may ask yourself why Larry Flint Publications would take an interest in a man claiming to be a real time traveler. It appears John's comments on our government in this time, civil liberties, and the current shape of our world has caught their fancy for a change. Without the prurient content in Hustler, you can read more about Larry Flint's take on the world here:

You can also get a closer look at Flint's take on the world by purchasing his book on www.amazon.com.

As soon as the article is available, we'll post a few quotes.

MORE MAD COW!

Canada finds new mad cow case, second in 10 days

By David Ljunggren

OTTAWA, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Canada said on Tuesday it had found its second case of mad cow disease in 10 days, raising new questions as to whether Washington would scrap plans to soon end a crippling ban on imports of live Canadian cattle.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the diseased beef cow, born just after Canada tightened feed restrictions in 1997, was not linked to another instance of mad cow disease announced on Jan. 2.

The new case is Canada's third home-grown instance of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).

"Based on preliminary information, feed produced prior to the introduction of the 1997 feed ban in Canada remains the most likely source of infection in this animal," the CFIA said in a statement.

TIME TRAVEL BASICS BEING EXPLORED AT A EUROPEAN PROJECT
Monday, December 27 @ 13:05:34 CET

Time travel, well we've seen flicks like Terminator, Back to the Future, Time Machine and many more, but what if...
What if one really could travel through time?

How would that possibly work and would Schroedingers cat even be in the box?

While we can't say for sure, a Europe Organisation called CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, the world's largest particle physics centre. Physicists come to explore what matter is made of and what forces hold it together.

In the world of particle physics, higher energy is one of the key words to allow further discoveries. What's the origin of the mass of particles? Do neutrinos really have mass?

Here's an interesting read. Since our site is listed number one on a Google search for John Titor, I suppose we're open to criticism for not condemning the story. John Titor seems to make a minority of people who read his posts very angry which is one of the reasons I was drawn to them in 2002. However, we also get a fair amount of email that's quite nasty and threatening. Here's a quote form the site:

"Note how Oliver doesn't know his own website and asks someone with him what it is. Oliver is the editor not the webmaster of johntitor.com, during the entitre interview Oliver seems to be getting information from this person who is with him, he did use the word 'we' when commenting on updating the website. I suspect the unknown person who is with Oliver is the webmaster, and may even be JOHN TITOR. "

I've been asked about the interview a few times. If John Titor was standing next to me I would have put him on the phone with George Norry! Actually, the web site is not mine. I just write most of it and all the formatting is done by a friend of mine. Soon, we hope to have a few others writing for the site also. In fact, if anyone is interested in posting their own news, please send us an email! The fact of the matter is I was very tired at 4:00 AM during the interview and there is a couple of other people helping me keep it all organized.

TIME TRAVELER JOHN TITOR SAYS WE'RE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE END

Sat, Dec 4, 2004
By Patrick Stephenson

Tangent_________________________

Are you troubled by Terminator-esque fears of nuclear Armageddon? Worried that our national political division -- right vs. left, conservative vs. democrat, rural vs. urban -- will produce another, and more costly, civil war?

The online postings of John Titor, a self-proclaimed time traveler from the year 2036, will do little to assuage those fears. His predictions will confirm exactly what you've been dreading: The world, as we know it, is going to end -- soon. In addition, it's likely you'll die in the process.

"MAD COW" DISEASE FOUND IN GOAT

A French goat has tested positive for mad cow disease - the first animal in the world other than a cow to have bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).

The European Commission says further testing will be done to see if the incidence is an isolated one.

The animal, which was slaughtered in 2002, was initially thought to have scrapie, a similar brain-wasting condition sometimes seen in goats.

But British scientists have now confirmed the disease was in fact BSE.

More than 100 people in the UK have died from vCJD (variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease), the human form of BSE, after eating tainted beef.

LIP IMPLANT TISSUE LINK WITH MAD COW DISEASE

One in six cosmetic surgery firms may be closed as fears for patients' health prompt a clampdown

FEARS that cosmetic implants used in lips and cheeks could trigger vCJD, the human form of "mad cow" disease, have prompted the Government to launch an investigation.

Sir Liam Donaldson, the Chief Medical Officer, said that experts were examining the possibility that tissue implants such as collagen could transmit blood-borne diseases such as variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease if contaminated. Although no evidence of such transmission has been discovered, the committee on microbiological safety of blood and tissues believes there might be a risk.
